Covid-19 Crisis for the animals.

Jakarta2020-04-26T00:00:00.000Z

The pandemic of Covid-19 originates from a wildlife market in Asia where animals like bats and pangolins were sold. Not only those animals became victims, now millions of humans worldwide are victims too. We need to take better care of our wildlife and avoid crisis in the future.

Animal crisis in Indonesia

Indonesia is in serious crisis due to the pandemic right now, which has direct consequences for the animals. Animal Rescue Centers are in big financial problems due to the declining donations and now more and more animals are in need of your help!

Zoos are collapsing and the animals are starving. Many people can’t buy food for their (pet)animals anymore, which also include macaques. Some are neglected or just released. This means they become a serious danger for the neighborhood, as they are searching for food and may bite people.

Auction for wildlife

In May we'll hold a large auction through Catawiki.com! We collected a large number of unique items like customized skateboards especially designed for Wildlife Watchdogs by famous artists and special items given away by famous people. Please stay tuned for more information on when the auction will take place and how to place a bid.

Covid-19 Emergency Fund

We have set up an emergency fund for Cikananga Wildlife Center, Jogjakarta Wildlife Center, and the Sumatra Wildlife Center. Please make a donation today and help the animals in need!
